Harvest time in ancient Italy belonged to the god of reaping, whom the Romans called Saturn. Since he always carried a sickle to reap with, a symbol curved like that sickle represents the planet which bears his name. Thanks much for this information. I needed to be reminded of the sickle and its connection with Heaven, Saturn. The constellation Leo, which stands for Christ as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, has a sickle formed by the main stars. To find it in the sky, I look for the sickle.
Also, the constellation Bootes (or Arcturus) is a shepherd with his crook in his right hand and a sickle in his uplifted left hand. The sheep from the Greater Sheepfold (the Big Dipper/Ursa Major) are streaming out of the gate toward the sickle. That is exactly the picture shown in Rev. 14:14-16. It is the Rapture of the Tribulation saints. Bootes is from the Hebrew "bo," to come. Arcturus means he comes. Christ is the good shepherd that comes.
The star Arcturus is in the knee of Bootes. It is the 4th brightest star in the heavens. Since I am hoping for the Pre-Trib Rapture on Ascension Day, May 16, 2004, I was glad to run across my note--May stars: Arcturus (in Bootes) and Spica (in Virgo).
Job 9:4-9 says, "He (God) is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea (Jesus walked on the water). Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south."
Job 38:31-33 says, "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth (the Zodiac) in his (i.e., Christ's) season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?"
We will be sons of God by adoption. I also think the Rapture will come while Saturn is in Gemini, where the Bride and Bridegroom sit together in heavenly places--on the ecliptic, the path that Saturn travels. Eph. 2:6 says, "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
On May 16, Saturn will be in conjuction with Mars in Gemini. Venus will be nearby. That will be a show to see.
Some Zodiacs show Bootes with a spear instead of a shepherd's staff. The biggest GRB ever was in the point of the spear.
Mark 4:29 says, "But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come."
In Rev. 14:14-20, two sickles are used, one for reaping the Tribulation saints--believers. After that, another sickle reaps the unbelievers and they are thrown into the winepress of the Wrath of God.
It says, "I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped (the Pre-Wrath Rapture).
"And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs."
No wonder the grim reaper has a sickle.
Joel 3:13 says, "Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great." Blessings and agape
An even rarer type of transit will occur in 2004, when Venus makes its first walk across the Sun since 1882. That exciting moment will come June 8.

An expanding vapor cloud causes some of the debris to go into orbit. Over time, it collapses into a plane that matches Earth's equator. The ring then lasts from about 100,000 years to perhaps 1 million years at most.
I have found your knowledge, evidenced in Pros and Cons discussions, sits comfortably with what I already know and just reinforces my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ even more.
The more I research the scriptures on end times, the more astonishing and powerful the scriptures become. The Lord our God absolutley blows me away!!!
The reason I'm writing to you is because I wanted to see if you (and others), as well as I do, have started to feel an inner pull, a nervousness, or are drawn, to watch, and observe these times. I now, more than ever before (I accepted Jesus as Lord in the 70s), get the sense that Jesus is coming very soon - this is definatelt from the spirit.
Other things also indicate that these feelings are no coincidence. Apart from an increased desire to research end time events/scriptures, I also have had a hunch re Yasser Arrafat. I was reading one of your Pros and Cons and discovered a reference to Yasser Arafat being taken out of the way before the Lord returns - not sure on the significance, but this was something that came to me in a flash of a thought - I find this is the way the Lord gives me snippets here and there, on occassion - and these always play out to be right on.
I would very much like to know what you think regarding this increased awareness and tendency to watch and stay in tune!! Kind regards
I just wish I had thought to check the sky in the days of Noah before I finally did. Saturn and Venus were in conjuction in Pisces on Pentecost, May 31, 1998.
On Ascension Day, May 16 through May 26, Pentecost, Mars and Saturn will be in conjunction in Gemini. I think our Rapture window is while Saturn (Heaven) is in Gemini. That is where the Bride and Bridegroom sit together in heavenly places.

The suspicion that a sizable zone of molten rock lies hidden beneath the craggy lunar surface comes from laser ranging experiments that have increased steadily in accuracy since Apollo astronauts first put laser reflectors on the Moon in 1969. For decades, scientists have been analyzing the round-trip travel time of the flashes to make increasingly exact measures of the Moon's shape, wobbles, distance from Earth, and physical characteristics.
At first, the measurements were good to a precision of about 10 inches, then 5 inches, then 1. Today, they track changes of a little less than an inch, and the readings may improve still more if plans are approved for a more sensitive laser observatory.
A new thread is being woven into the complex tapestry of Jewish history, a thread fashioned from a double twist of DNA.
The DNA data suggest a particular version of Jewish history and origins that historians have not yet had time to appraise but that seem to be reconcilable in principle with the historical record, according to experts in Jewish studies.
The emerging genetic picture is based largely on two studies, one published two years ago and the other this month, that together show that the men and women who founded the Jewish communities had surprisingly different genetic histories.
The earlier study, led by Dr. Michael Hammer of University of Arizona, showed from an analysis of the male, or Y chromosome, that Jewish men from seven communities were related to one another and to present-day Palestinian and Syrian populations, but not to the men of their host communities.

What is not clear to me is verse 18 and 19, when another sickle is thrust into the "clusters of the vine, and this is cast into the great winepress of the wrath of God.'
Is this a type of rapture? Or is this a gathering of those who took the Mark and in verse 20, blood comes out of the winepress. Can you clarify this either to me or on the Doves site? Thanking you in advance..

I think it is the Pre-Wrath Rapture, which would include the martyrs, the 144,000 Israelites, and the great multitude that no man can number in Rev. 7:9,14.

I can tell that the Lord knew what was going to happen. Before the drastic slowdown and inability to go to links on web sites after loading my granddaughter's Polaroid PhotoMax software about Dec. 22, my server had sent me an e-mail, "Support Regarding Security Issues," on Dec. 1.
They said to get Microsoft's security pack. Since I was using 5.0, I downloaded Windows 98, 6 from Microsoft. That didn't help until I used the suggested free Ad-Aware (http:www.lavasoftusa.com) to clear 474 unwanted files from memory. That fixed it. I left one file on that would give data about my computer.
...Like Lemaire, I too find the evidence relied on does not support the conclusion that the inscription is a forgery....
How then was this inscription coating made? Ayalon suggests the following: First, limestone, possibly from the James ossuary itself, was ground to a powder and dissolved in hot water. Second, the hot paste so produced was smeared over the inscription. The purpose of the hot water, he says, was to insure good adhesion of the coating.
Ayalon also suggests an alternative scenario: A cold, wet paste of ground limestone was smeared over the inscription and the entire ossuary was then warmed in an oven.
It is clear from the statements of IAA committee members that they were strongly influenced by Ayalon’s conclusions. This is unfortunate because there are three serious flaws in his reasoning:
First, ground calcite will not dissolve in hot water.
Second, undissolved calcite immersed in hot water will not exchange oxygen isotopes with the water and so will not have a d18O value reflecting the water’s temperature.
Third, heating calcite in an oven will not change its d18O value.
Ayalon’s interpretation is therefore based on flawed chemistry....
One other point: Ayalon dismisses out of hand the one sample of inscription coating whose d18O value fell within the range of the ancient patina. He disregards this result because he attributes it to an accidental mixing of the ossuary limestone (with a d18O of +1 to –2) and the inscription coating, resulting in an intermediate d18O value. He may be correct in this, but he is showing his bias by not allowing for the other possibility: that the word Jesus (where the sample came from) is truly ancient. This, plus the fact that one member of the IAA committee observed traces of ancient patina in the “brother of Jesus” part of the inscription, provide two solid pieces of evidence supporting the inscription’s antiquity....
...Harrell added that in addition to the geochemical analyses, there is more evidence that supports the authenticity of the inscription. “According to experts on ossuary texts, the forming of the letters and the spelling of the words are entirely consistent with a first century A.D. date. It would be very difficult for a forger to make such an error-free inscription,” Harrell said....
Artifacts dating back 2,000 years have been uncovered just outside the walls of Jerusalem's Old City, the Antiquities Authority announced....
They include the remains of a mikva, various bronze and metallic utensils and coins, candles, and a stone oil-storage vessel decorated with shofarot....
The Jewish custom for weddings, from which I believe this statement is alluding to, and which His audience was very familiar, required that a dowry be paid by the Bridegroom for the Bride, and the Father of the Bridegroom set the price - the offer - and made certain it was paid. When Jesus made this statement, He was still alive, and His Heavenly Father had not collected the full dowry, if you will. When Jesus Christ was crucified, the price was paid, and the dowry was complete. Isn't it interesting that in the Matthew passage, that Jesus states this will be like the days of Noe. But He specifically relates the days of Noe to the example of a betrothal/marriage feast, not the violence that we have so often compared it to. Mat 24:37-39 "But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." This is a wedding scene!!!!
I really believe that it may very well be possible that from the date of Jesus Christ's death, we - men, angels and the Son of Man - know, or can know, the date of His return, the Rapture, because the price had then been paid. Once the price, the dowry, was complete, the Father would give the command to the Son, the permission, to go get His Bride, but not before. Thus, Jesus' statement that no one knew except for the Father, because the dowry price had not been fully collected and paid by the Father until Jesus Christ was given through sacrifice. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, ..."
The Father didn't just "hang around" waiting for no reason to give permission to the Son to go get the Bride, dragging things out. As I mentioned in a previous email, the knowledge here refers to an authority, Father to Son, issue. Jesus humbled Himself while on earth, and did not seek to be equal while alive. Jesus submitted to His Father's authority.
