Lu 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
The timing of the Transfiguration is very interesting. Mt. 17:1,2 says, "AFTER SIX DAYS Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them UP into an high mountain apart (i.e., Heaven), And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light." Mk. 9:2 says, "AFTER SIX DAYS Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them." Lu. 9:28,29 says, "ABOUT AN EIGHT DAYS after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and WENT UP INTO A MOUNTAIN to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering."
After 6 comes 7, which is just before 8. It makes me wonder if this is a hint that the Rapture takes place in the 7th good year. At the Rapture we will see Christ in his glory and Peter, James and John crowned as elders (Rev. 4:4).
Lu. 9:30-32 says, "there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease (lit., EXODUS) which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep (probably representing those who are asleep in Jesus): and when they were awake (at the Rapture), they saw his glory, and THE TWO MEN THAT STOOD WITH HIM."
This reveals who Christ really is. Moses and Elijah are "the two anointed ones, that stand by THE LORD OF THE WHOLE EARTH" in Zech. 4:14. They also are "the two candlesticks standing before THE GOD OF THE EARTH" in Rev. 11:4.
I think that at the Rapture, we will hear the Lord Jesus Christ say, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning (Lord of the OT) and the ending (Lord of the NT)...which is (at the Rapture), and which was (at the First Advent), and which is to come (at the Second Advent), THE ALMIGHTY" (Rev. 1:8). Agape
But first of all I need to say that I am amazed and irritated every time I notice that people keep sending you mail with a very unfriendly tone. People do not need to write so arrogantly if they have something useful to contribute, do they? It seems to me you always take other opinions seriously and so far I have never found any hostility in your replies. So as I guess the Holy Spirit that helps christians study the Scriptures is the same One that helps christians to be friendly towards other people - especially brothers or sisters in Christ - I don't think they succeed very well in making your ideas seem wrong. (Not to me anyway.) I think even people who strongly disagree with you on many points should emphasize our being united in Christ, like you do. How can they even dare to be so condescending when they must have noticed how lovingly and wisely you handle questions from non-believers (like the Hindi girl from Malaysia) or insecure believers? I just don't get it. You are doing a terrific job!
Now the subjects I would like your opinion on...
How do you think the exodus story relates to the rapture and tribulation? Do you think it is relevant that the first three plagues affected all people living in Egypt (including the Hebrews) and the last seven plagues were only on the Egyptians and did (miraculously) not take place in Goshen?
Ex. 8:22,23 "But on that day I will deal differently with the land of Goshen, where my people live, no swarms of flies (FOURTH PLAGUE) will be there, so that you will know that I, the Lord, am in this land. I will make a distinction between my people and your people, this miraculous sign will occur tomorrow."
Furthermore I would like to hear your opinion on the following web-page...

Do you think the writer of this article is going too far in using astrology, since he goes way beyond just interpreting the signs in the sky? Do you take the prophecy of st. Malachy seriously? In Christ
There is a big difference between astronomy, the study of the heavenly bodies, and astrology, the Satanic imitation that we are to leave alone.
I think the writer is an astrologist, and as such, his writings should be avoided 100%. I don't take the prophecy of anyone seriously unless I find it written in the Bible, and I don't think this st. Malachy is the Malachi of the OT.

Oh wow! Thanks. You may have shown me something here I had missed. I put "miraculous sign" in caps above. I probably didn't give that enough thought before. The year 1998 was so plainly marked that I figured the Rapture would probably happen then. It didn't, so I have been wondering why 1998 was such a marked year. It was the 480th year in the Modern Parallels. I think it was also the 6000th year since Adam was cast out of Eden. It seemed to fit neatly into a ten-year span of time--from 1998 to 2008 (5758 to 5768).
I finally saw that 1998 could have been the first year of the parable of the barren fig tree. Jesus only comes and checks for fruit on his fig tree (Israel) in the first two years. Then in the third year, he not only comes, he speaks. That could foreshadow the Rapture this Pentecost. There is an extra year tacked on in which he neither comes nor speaks. That could represent Pentecost, 2000, to Pentecost, 2001, when I expect the Tribulation to begin.
Now, lets think about how the plagues might tie in as a shadow of our days. Let's set each of the 10 plagues beside the 10 years. During the first 3 years, God's people experience plagues. This might tie in with our time of testing. Jesus told Peter that Satan desired to sift him as wheat. It could represent 1998, 1999 and 2000 (5758, 5759, and 5760). During the other 7 plagues/years, only Egypt (symbol of the wicked in Scripture) felt the plagues. God's people did not. By the time it was all over, Egypt and her ruler were destroyed. If I understand all this correctly, it sure seems to fit the events from 5758 to 5768. I think the Tribulation will run from 5761 to 5768. Do you see any reason that it would not fit this scenario?
Two heads are better than one. I think God gives different people insight into different areas. That is wonderful, because as we share with each other, we all learn more. One works part of the puzzle. Someone else works a different section. The picture gets clearer all along the way. Agape
I've noticed people writing in regarding doves; since living in my current house for the last 4 years, I have not noticed any doves in the yard, lots of chipmunks, but no doves. There was one waiting in the driveway for me when I got home Monday!
Note: There was a gray one with beautiful white markings on my driveway as I drove in with our lunch today.
I've also read several of the articles regarding the 10 day Tribulation after Ascension Day. I've ask the question to my pastor on previous occasions, in regard to the letters addressing the Church or the people of the Churches. He said the Church. I disagree, the Church is not a building, but the members who make comprise it. I agree with you, or you confirm what I believe. You can find yourself in any or all the letters, and that the all faithful believers will be required to be tried for 10 days. Since I can't find and Scripture related to the trials we will have to endure, I can only speculate that they will be mostly weather related. Just look at what is happening now! Hail the size of grapefruit (South Carolina last night), twisters in Salt Lake City (although they had one last year too), ...this is May! Tornadoes are suppose to stop in April, and Hurricanes are not suppose to start until June ( one in the Pacific already). When something bad happens, weather or otherwise, its not usually the Devil they damn, and out of their ignorance they blame God. God does not cause bad weather, but he can protect us from it! What about earthquakes!? What about the judgement of the evil of our nation!? Only the Lord can protect us! Do you have any ideas regarding the 10 day Tribulation, as far as what we may face? Sincerely, Your Brother in Christ
No. Don't forget that the 10 days was in one of the 7 messages, and only "some" of those were put in prison. Agape
Regarding applying 1Corinthians 8:2 to myself, I don't think it applies. As far as what I have written, I do not believe I have expressed anything regarding knowledge, only love. I do not judge, but rebuke with love. The only knowledge that matters to me is expressed in 1Cor 8:6 , 8:1, 8:3 and John 3:16.
Again I would like to apologize for any trouble I may have cause you and for causing Mr. Brehm to "puff up" again. ( Oop.'s, I'll ask forgiveness again for the last part of the preceding sentence.) I felt I needed to let him know these were not your comments and not even my words! Sincerely, Your Brother in Christ
Your readers should look up the entire definition of shanah (Strong's 8138) and they will be amazed because it was right there in front of us the entire time. Maranatha
