The mysterious tilt of the Moon's orbit around the Earth is probably due to the satellite's violent origin, say scientists writing in the current issue of the journal Nature.
Popular theory has it that the Moon formed violently and quickly....a so-called proto-planet, probably about the size of the present-day Mars, smashed into the young Earth with incredible violence.
Within minutes, a jet of vaporised rock was blasted into space and begun to settle around the Earth forming a disk. Within hours, the entire Earth's surface, already hot, had melted....
..."The inclination problem had been one of the last remaining obstacles for the impact hypothesis of Moon formation," says SwRI Institute scientist Dr William Ward.
His team believes the Moon acquired its large tilt soon after it formed because of a gravitational interaction with the other debris left over from the impact event.
...The Moon forms in about a year at the outer edge of the debris disk...The key point is that after the Moon coalesced, its gravity would generate waves in the inner disk. The gravitational interaction of the Moon with these waves would then modify the young Moon's orbit....
"This theory explains the Moon's anomalous orbital tilt as a natural consequence of its formation from a giant impact event," says Dr Ward.
I am happy you have this much faith but maybe you should place it in the Christianity taught in "most" churches, not in the believings of an unorthodox religion (excuse me if I come off to rude). I am Baptist, and attended Calvary Church of Santa Ana, CA, when David Hocking was pastor. He is an exceptionally good teacher, one from whom I could learn, but even then I had to test everything by Scripture. He said he wasn't sure that there were giants. I told him that when I found out the size of Og's bedstead, I believed that there were giants. De. 3:11 says, "nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man." That is 13.5' x 6.' That settled it for me. I test everything by Scripture. It is the only rock-hard truth we have to go by. People can be wrong, me, you, and everyone else, but Scripture is what we need to go by. If it says something, I believe it. Of course, I should temper that a little bit. Scripture was pure truth in the original editions. There are times that the translators goofed in our beloved KJV. Putting "day of Christ" instead of day of the Lord in II Thess. 2:2 was one. That was changed in later versions, and rightly so.

If you are thinking of Mt. 24:36, it says, "of that day and hour KNOWETH (present tense) no man." It says nothing about your "no man SHALL know." In Acts 1:7,8, Jesus " said unto them (the apostles), It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you." Ever since Pentecost, 30 AD, believers have had the POWER to KNOW THE TIMES OR THE SEASONS. It was just that there was one unknown in the equation. The whole end-time plan could be figured out, but until the Sign of the End of the Age in 1967, there was no way to drop it into our calendar. That is why Jesus said, "Watch."
Do you just throw out Mk. 13:23? Jesus said, "But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you ALL THINGS." Just because we stumble around trying to figure it out doesn't mean it isn't there. Noah knew 7 days before it started to rain. Do you think we just might have a chance to do the same if we obey the Lord's command to watch?
I am watching, and I feel so blessed to have this computer someone gave me and to be on the Internet. There are such wonderful people out there that send me things they find on the web that they know I would be interested in. If I was just staying home, doing the usual things in the house and yard, reading the newspaper, watching TV and not on the Internet, how would I ever find out about the astounding double anchor that just appeared in the same spot where we had a new star, Nova Velorum, last year on Sivan 7. Both appeared in the sails of the ship ARGO (THE COMPANY OF TRAVELERS). I saw nothing about either in the paper or on TV (not that I have time for much of those, but Ed keeps me posted).
I'm ready, whenever it is. I just got a phone call. A lady told me that the Eastern Orthodox Easter was a week after ours. I guess that would make their Pentecost a week later too. It doesn't seem like the Rapture can be very far off the way everything is falling into place for the Tribulation. I feel privileged to live in these days. Even with the evil in the world, we have our "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13) and can "COMFORT ONE ANOTHER" with the words of I Thess. 4:13-18.
I Thess. 5:5,11 says, "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness....Wherefore COMFORT YOURSELVES TOGETHER, and edify one another."
I just found a neat verse that applies to the 2nd Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets. Isa. 30:29 says, "Ye shall have a SONG ('as it were a new song before the throne,' Rev. 14:3), as in the night when a HOLY SOLEMNITY is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to COME INTO THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD (i.e., to Heaven), to the mighty One of Israel." Keep up the good work of the Lord and please keep posting as you and your husbands health permits. I also feel that the Rapture is in the wind soon to be blowing across this planet gathering Christ's Bride. However, the Holy Spirit is still moving here in TEXAS!
I am so happy to hear this about the last generation. I was in on the outpouring of the holy spirit on the young back when they called themselves the Jesus Freaks.That is when a bunch of them came on their own to our house to study the Bible with me about 1969 and 70. No certain time, they came when they pleased. They were so eager to learn.
I think I John 2:18-28 is really speaking to this last generation. It says, " Little children, IT IS THE LAST TIME (year, Rev. 12:6,14): and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that IT IS THE LAST TIME. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But YE HAVE AN UNCTION (anointing) FROM THE HOLY ONE, AND YE KNOW ALL THINGS. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. As we both agree, we have never heard of a triple rainbow, what an unusual event.
I agree with you that the bird was not a dove. Maybe it is too cold up here for them, we do have pigeons, but they don't like it much up here in Canada unless it is warm outside. Nevertheless, this little creature was singing to us like I have never seen before.
I believe you have this right about the timing, it is ten days to the end of spring. This makes the most sense to me too. With all respect to our brother Lyn, I do not see how a destruction of Damascus right now is appropriate. The other rainbows were definitely laid down on a time grid, they fit perfectly and consistently as I look back.
I've also heard creationists talk about the intensity of the earth's magnetic field, if being mathematically regressed backwards that about 6-10 thousand years ago, it would have been so strong as to blow the world apart, thus, they claim a "young earth". But again their theory is flawed. If one considers the phase-state diagram for ferrite, (which is the form of iron that is magnetic and supports a magnetic field), the temperature rise necessary for earth destruction would alter the amount of ferritic type material in the earths core to preclude destruction by friction/heat produced by earth magnetic field....
I was looking at my calander and noticed we have one FULL MOON left in the spring, I know there is lots of references to lunar cycles, but wanted to get your thoughts on the posibilities...
I am a pre-tribber with all my heart, but as a person who can look around at the fast changing events in the world, heading straight for the Tribulation, time is quickly running out for the pre-trib view.... I mean, if the Trib starts and the Church is still here, there is much to reconsider.
Isa. 57:1-3 says, " The righteous perisheth (abad, ESCAPES), and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are TAKEN AWAY, none considering that THE RIGHTEOUS IS TAKEN AWAY FROM THE EVIL TO COME. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness. But DRAW NEAR hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore." At the time of the Rapture, the Tribulation is drawing near. Agape
I feel it is important that all the readers understand why I am delving into this topic. We are told to watch. Especially after so many evidences that pointed to Pentecost did not come to pass, this is just the sort of event the devil can use to seed doubt, mockery, contempt and weak faith. I am not going into this discussion in order to gather some kind of status and attention, or to "save face" by coming up with the answer. The only glory there is to consider is that of the Father. I am a humble servant who is praying to have his household considered worthy of being redeemed by faith. (Luke 21:36) There is no prize for naming exactly when the Lord comes, we are told to watch. AS WE ALL HAVE DISCUSSED MANY TIMES IN THE PAST ON MARILYN'S WEB PAGE, THE SPIRIT FILLED BELIEVERS DO KNOW WHEN THE TIME IS NEAR, EVEN AT THE DOOR. Look how many writers have written in recently with their observations. Also, it is biblical to know, Noah knew and Enoch knew.
Here goes: I searched on the net for summer solstice. Well if you try it , you will get a multitude of pagan events, superstitious worship, cults, and even lusty filth! This makes it even easier for some to be misled and want to throw this date out right away. Or is this just what deceiving spirits can use to throw us off the truth. Think about pagan christmas and pagan easter for a moment.
1) Based on the other rainbows I have seen since March 11, 2000, EACH one had a definite event that came later, after an appropriate number of days.
2)Once again, I saw several very definite signs, definitely not commonplace on June 10, 2000

This is when the sun in the northern hemisphere is at it's "highest point" Reminds me of "limits" in calculus, there is no exact time that can be assigned to an event like this. Actually the web site points out small discrepancies, which that author can not explain. This is what it means in the Bible, nobody can know the exact microsecond of the Rapture, but we can know at least the approximate day. For people in the southern hemisphere, do not be critical of this, Jerusalem is in the northern hemisphere at this point in time, and I think this is the Lord's reference point. I thought of the "northern passage" in the heavens that has been discovered.
4) I live in the Pacific Coast time zone, and I see that summer solstice is indicated on the web site above as 6:36 pm on June 20. Now note this, I said the anchor rainbow I saw on June 10 was at 7pm on the last P&C. Actually, it was at this time of 6:36 pm exactly ten days prior to the summer solstice. I do not think that is random circumstance. I had NEVER seen anything like that in my life, how could it be exactly ten days before and at the exact time.
5) In Jerusalem, the summer solstice will be ten hours later, or at 4:36 AM in the morning. The bible clearly indicates that Jesus had risen before sunrise, because Mary travelled to the tomb with spices before the sunrise. Also, this is the last watch of the night, since it is before 6:00 AM there.

Sunrise in Jerusalem that day is at 5:34 AM. Checks out. Now the morning star (Saturn - Third Heaven) is visible just before sunrise on that day. I have been an amateur astronomer for twenty years and have spent many mornings before sunrise to look at planets through a telescope. If I was looking for Saturn that morning, that time of the morning,. 4:36AM in Jersualem would be a most excellent time to look. Saturn would have risen enough above the horizon to be seen well, but it would not be so close to sunrise that the planet (Cherubim) would be washed out in solar glare from the approaching sunrise.
All of these thoughts of mine are presented to all the fellow believers so we can focus on watching. Let's be careful not to lose our rewards or have our crowns taken away at this last moment. Two things have not changed in my hope. The Pre-Trib Rapture must be this year, and it must be before the summer solstice (summer is nigh), if we are interpreting the Bible correctly, (which I believe we are).
